From Borehole to Hospital: Our Continuing Commitment to Zambia.

Clean Water. Healthy Children. Lasting Hope.

Over a decade ago, we had the privilege of partnering with a dedicated team in Mufulira, Zambia, to drill a borehole that provided essential clean water access to a growing community effort. That early project was one of our first major initiatives in the region, helping lay the foundation for what has become a thriving ministry focused on vulnerable children and families.

Today, that same group—now operating as All God’s Children Zambia (with their U.S. counterpart, Loving God’s Children)—has grown significantly. They established their own NGO in 2016, own 12 acres of land hosting the Murundu Mission Hospital of Hope, a chapel, guest house, and small-scale farming for sustainability. With 25 staff members, their four pillars—Discipleship, Healthcare, Family Support/Education, and Sustainability—bless approximately 1,000 people each month, with a special emphasis on reaching vulnerable children, orphans, and families through programs in education, nutrition, and holistic care. Their mission: “Bringing holistic health, healing, and hope to the vulnerable.”

The Murundu Mission Hospital of Hope, a 50-bed community facility, is fully built and poised to serve six rural villages with outpatient care, maternity services, prenatal/postnatal clinics, under-5 clinics, basic labs, ultrasound, and a pharmacy. These services will directly improve health outcomes for children—from routine check-ups and vaccinations to maternal care that supports infant survival—in an area where access to quality healthcare has been limited.

The original borehole we assisted with years ago remains in use, but recent water testing revealed contaminants requiring a filtration system for government registration and safe, reliable operation. Clean, safe water is foundational to protecting children from deadly waterborne illnesses like diarrhea, which disproportionately affect the youngest and most vulnerable in communities like this.

In 2025, we were honored to support them once again by providing funding toward this critical water infrastructure need. This step will help open the outpatient department (Phase 1), paving the way for expanded inpatient services in Phase 2—including pediatric care. By ensuring safe water reaches this hospital and the surrounding villages, we’re helping safeguard children’s lives and futures—one drop at a time.

We’re grateful for partners like Loving God’s Children (visit www.lovinggodschildren.org to learn more about their inspiring work with vulnerable children in Zambia) and proud to play a continuing role in their journey. Together, we’re making lasting impacts — saving children from the often-deadly effects of unsafe water, building healthier communities, and sharing hope. We’ll share updates as the hospital opens its doors and Phase 2 begins to take shape.

Thank you for standing with us and supporting efforts to bring safe, clean water to children and families in Zambia — because every child deserves the chance to thrive, and hope, like water, should flow freely.
